Midlands Police probe dual vehicle thefts in Zvishavane

ZVISHAVANE – Police in the Midlands have confirmed the investigation of two separate cases of theft of motor vehicles which occurred around areas of Zvishavane on October 15, 2024.

Midlands Provincial Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel confirmed to AfroGazette that around 10:00 p.m in Izayi Park, Julius Biggie parked his Toyota Funcargo in his yard before retiring to sleep, only to discover the vehicle was missing the following morning.

“The first incident occurred around 10:00 p.m when Julius Biggie (32) of Izayi Park parked his Toyota Funcargo in his yard for the night, only to discover it was missing the following morning. However, the vehicle was later recovered abandoned in Mandava after developing a tyre puncture”.

“The other incident occurred around 7:00 PM when Sheunopa Mashavidze (40) from Makwasha parked his grey Toyota Noah (registration number AEM 2219) in his yard before leaving for work. Upon his return the next morning at 7:00 AM, he failed to locate his vehicle which remains missing.”

“We urge the public to come forward with any information that can aid in the arrest of the accused and recovery of the Toyota Noah,” said Mahoko.
