Meet Raymar: Zimbabwe’s Rising Star Taking TikTok & the Music Scene by Storm – Zimbabwe’s music landscape is witnessing the emergence of a fresh new talent—Raymar, a rising star who has swiftly gained popularity through TikTok.
With a unique sound and compelling presence, Raymar is being hailed as one of the country’s most promising young artists.
His debut single “Hauna Care,” a collaboration with established Zimdancehall artist Ndunge Yut, has captured the attention of music lovers nationwide.
The track, which explores themes of heartbreak and emotional vulnerability in relationships, carries a melodic tone reminiscent of Nigerian superstar Omah Lay.
Upon its release, the video for Hauna Care quickly went viral on TikTok, amassing over 100,000 views and claiming the #1 trending spot in Zimbabwe at the time of reporting.
The visual release has been met with overwhelming praise on social media, where fans have applauded both the production quality and the artists’ chemistry.

Speaking about the collaboration, Raymar expressed his gratitude and excitement:
“It was a great experience working with Ndunge Yut. This collaboration was an experiment worth trying, and we’re humbled by the positive response.”
Despite the early success, controversy has arisen among fans, with some questioning the role of Ndunge Yut in the project.
Concerns have been raised about whether Raymar is being given due credit and control over his work, especially by those close to the production process.
A Facebook user, King Solomon, alleged that individuals around Raymer may be attempting to take advantage of the young artist’s rapid rise.
“This kid is talented, but unfortunately he may be in the wrong hands,” Solomon wrote. “The song was meant to be released under Raymer’s own platforms, but there are delays in opening his social media accounts. There are even claims that his phone was confiscated, and the video is being uploaded to Ndunge’s channel instead.”
While these concerns are yet to be officially addressed, Raymer has reassured fans that his music will soon be available on his official YouTube channel, encouraging supporters to stay connected and continue showing love.
“Hey guys, this is my channel—Raymer Official. Ndokutendai ma fans,” he shared.
With a hit song, a growing fanbase, and undeniable charisma, Raymar is undoubtedly one to watch.
