Meat Looters Nabbed : Police Arrest Suspect, Recover Slaughtered Goats in Nyabira

NYABIRA – In a swift response to a stock theft case, police in Nyabira have arrested 32-year-old Michael Gombe in connection with the theft of six goats from Dryham Farm.
According to a statement posted on the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Twitter account, Gombe and his accomplice, who is still at large, allegedly stole the goats from the complainant’s pen.
The thieves then slaughtered the animals, packed the meat into plastic bags and fled the scene.
Gombe was later apprehended by authorities while attempting to find transportation to Harare along the Harare-Chirundu highway.
The ZRP’s swift response to the incident has led to the recovery of the stolen meat and the arrest of one suspect, with efforts underway to apprehend the second suspect.
