Masowe4ED Stages Landmark Clean-Up Drive Ahead of Affiliate Launch

Masowe4ED delegates last Friday led a major clean-up campaign in Harare, a symbolic prelude to the movement’s much-awaited affiliate launch.
The exercise, which stretched from the Johane Masowe Chishanu Graspa shrine in Glen Norah B to the Trabablas Interchange, highlighted the group’s growing push for social responsibility and community development.
Masowe4ED chairman Ownell Vengesai said the initiative went beyond routine cleaning, framing it as a declaration of commitment to building sustainable, dignified communities.
“The donation and installation of bins symbolised the group’s belief that cleanliness is close to Godliness.

“These bins are a sign of the national dignity this affiliate holds for the country,” Vengesai said.
He added that despite rains that drenched the volunteers, they managed to pave a clean road towards the affiliate launch this month.
Vengesai also stressed that the campaign was designed to promote unity and challenge stereotypes linked to white garment churches and members of the Albino community.
“Masowe4ED is open to everyone who wishes to contribute to the country’s development vision towards 2030 and support Presidential policies,” he said.
Representing Zanu-PF National Political Commissar Munyaradzi Machacha, Commissariat director Kizito Kuchekwa praised the clean-up as both a civic gesture and an economic statement.
“This campaign demonstrates that cleanliness is not only a spiritual value but also a civic duty that strengthens our communities.
“Beyond the white garment churches, this effort reflects a collective commitment to drive economic growth and national development,” he said.
Albino Charity Organisation of Zimbabwe executive director Loveness Mainato welcomed the movement’s inclusive stance, noting that persons with albinism have often faced discrimination in white garment religious spaces.
“The campaign sets a powerful example of unity and acceptance, proving that national progress must embrace every citizen,” Mainato said.
