Married Astronomer CEO Caught in Alleged Affair With HR Chief During Coldplay Concert in Boston

Married Astronomer CEO Caught in Alleged Affair With HR Chief During Coldplay Concert in Boston – Andy Byron, the Chief Executive Officer of Astronomer, a prominent U.S.-based software firm specializing in data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, has become the subject of widespread controversy following a viral incident at a Coldplay concert held at Gillette Stadium in Boston.
The incident occurred during the band’s traditional “kiss cam” segment, when the stadium’s live broadcast camera captured Byron in an intimate embrace with Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s Chief People Officer.
The footage, projected on the stadium’s large screen before an audience of approximately 60,000 attendees, showed Byron embracing Cabot from behind.
Upon realizing they were being displayed publicly, both appeared visibly alarmed—Byron quickly moved out of view, while Cabot covered her face with her hands.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, unaware of the potential implications, jokingly commented, “Oh, look at these two… either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” further fueling public speculation.
The video was subsequently uploaded to TikTok by user @instaagrace and rapidly gained traction, amassing tens of millions of views across various platforms.
Internet users swiftly identified the individuals in the clip as Byron and Cabot.
The situation garnered further attention after it was revealed that Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, an educator and mother of his two children. Cabot, while currently unmarried, finalized her divorce from Kenneth Thornby in 2022.
In the wake of the incident, both executives have limited their social media visibility.
Byron has reportedly removed public endorsements of Cabot from his LinkedIn profile and disabled comments.
His wife, Megan, has removed his surname from her Facebook profile and subsequently deleted her social media accounts.
Astronomer has not issued a formal statement regarding the matter. The company has, however, restricted comments on its official social media posts, indicating an effort to contain reputational fallout.
The scandal, now widely referred to online as “Coldplaygate,” has drawn considerable commentary regarding professional conduct, workplace boundaries, and the influence of public exposure in the digital age.
Public reaction has been divided—while some expressed sympathy for Byron’s spouse, others criticized what appears to be inappropriate behavior by senior executives of a technology firm.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk also weighed in, responding with a “laughing out loud” emoji to a widely circulated—but fake—apology statement allegedly attributed to Byron.
The fabricated post further intensified public discourse and added a layer of satire to the unfolding controversy.
At present, neither Byron nor Cabot has addressed the matter publicly.
