Manchester United Beats Wolves 4-1 to Move Up to Sixth Place in Premier League

Manchester United climbed to sixth place in the Premier League after a smooth victory against troubled Wolves.

In the first half, Bruno Fernandes scored for United, taking advantage of poor defending by Wolves. Although United started strong, Wolves managed to equalize just before halftime when Jean Bellegarde scored from inside the box.

After the break, United came back stronger. Bryan Mbeumo scored early in the second half, tapping the ball into an empty net after a mistake by Wolves’ goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

Mason Mount then added a third goal with a skillful finish from a great pass by Fernandes. The scoring was capped off with a penalty awarded for handball after a VAR review, with Fernandes converting to seal the win.

Wolves, who are at the bottom of the Premier League with only two points this season, had struggled in recent games and had not scored for five matches before Bellegarde’s goal.

However, they couldn’t maintain that momentum in the second half.

Wolves’ fans expressed their frustration with chants after United’s opening goal, and many left the stadium early as their team continues to face serious challenges this season.

United’s performance was solid, and they remain favorites to win when they face Wolves again at Old Trafford before the New Year. – Manchester Evening News.
