Man UTDs Martinez out for two months

Man UTDs Martinez out for two months. Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United , has defended his decision to allow Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez to keep playing after sustaining a knee injury during the team’s match against West Ham last weekend.

Martinez eventually had to be replaced due to ligament damage, which will keep him out of action for two months. Ten Hag states that injury substitutions can be a “grey area”, and although it was ultimately Martinez’s decision to continue playing, it is unclear whether this exacerbated his injury.

Ten Hag believes that assessing injuries is a difficult task and cannot be done within a minute or two. He also expressed disappointment that Martinez’s recent return has now been curtailed, but said that the team has excellent players who can replace him. Manchester United face Aston Villa in a crucial match to keep their Champions League hopes alive, and Ten Hag believes that every game is now a final that should be considered a challenge embraced by the squad.
