Man Stabs Wife with Knife After She Tries to Rouse Him

KWEKWE-A 26-year-old Kwekwe man has been remanded in custody after allegedly stabbing his 25-year-old wife three times with a kitchen knife during a domestic dispute at their home in Mbizo.

The accused appeared before the Kwekwe Magistrates’ Court facing charges of domestic violence and was remanded in custody to March 7 for plea recording.

According to State papers, the incident occurred on March 1, 2025, after the accused, who was reportedly intoxicated, returned home and fell asleep outside in the yard.

The court heard that the accused became aggressive when his wife tried to wake him and he attacked her with a kitchen knife, stabbing her twice on the right leg.

The stab wounds caused deep cuts.
