Man Sentenced to 17 Years for R@ping his Neighbour’s 4-Year-Old Girl

A 39-year-old man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison after being convicted of raping a 4-year-old neighbour.

On September 16, 2024, the victim’s mother asked the man to buy bread and relish for her. He agreed and also asked to take the little girl with him.

Instead of going to the shops, he took her to a nearby bush, where he assaulted her as reported by the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe.

After the attack, he returned the girl to her home. She immediately told her mother what had happened.

The incident was reported to the ZRP Hwange, leading to an investigation and the man’s arrest.

The court’s decision underscores the seriousness of such crimes and the importance of protecting young children from harm.
