Man Sentenced to 15 Years for R@ping His 13-year-old Sister

A 30-year-old man from Bulawayo has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being convicted of raping his 13-year-old sister. The assault occurred in January 2025 at their family home.

Court documents reveal that the offender lured the victim into his bedroom under the pretense of watching a movie on his cellphone.

Once alone, he attacked her, grabbing her by the neck and strangling her before lifting her dress and removing her underwear. He then covered her face with a blanket and raped her.

The victim reported the incident to the police, leading to the man’s arrest. Initially pleading not guilty, he later changed his plea to guilty after DNA evidence was presented during the trial.
