Man Jailed for 10 Years of Secretly Filming Women
A 33-year-old man, Jean-Pierre Francis, has been sentenced after secretly installing hidden cameras in the homes and workplaces of multiple women across England for a decade.
According to Northamptonshire Police, the investigation began in May 2024 when a woman discovered a concealed camera in her bedroom. Detectives later linked the devices to Francis.
Officers seized his equipment and uncovered hundreds of videos and images recorded between 2015 and 2025. He hid cameras in everyday items such as pens, USB sticks, plug sockets and even a shower gel bottle.
Authorities said six women, aged between 20 and 60, were targeted in the case.
Francis pleaded guilty to six counts of voyeurism on March 13 and was sentenced on April 17 to three years and six months in prison. The court also ordered the destruction of all his devices and imposed a 10-year sexual harm prevention order. He has been placed on the sex offenders register for life.
Lead investigator Georgia Sampson described the crimes as deeply invasive, saying Francis abused everyday technology to violate victims’ privacy in places where they should have felt safe.
