Mai Jeremaya Case Back In Court – Reveals She Begged Her ‘R@pists’ To Wear C0nd0ms

What began as a seemingly normal business arrangement turned into a chilling rape trial now rocking Harare, with social media personality Mai Jeremaya, born Ashley Masendeke, at the centre of sh0cking allegations.
On April 30, Mai Jeremaya alleges she was gang r@ped by two men — Thabo Blessing Dube and Martin Charlie — after they lured her to what she believed was a business meeting.
Instead, she says, she found herself locked in a lodge room and s£xually assaulted.
Taking the stand before Regional Magistrate Letwin Rwodzi, the actress and influencer gave harrowing testimony of the trauma she claims to have suffered.
She said she cried, begged Charlie to use a cond0m, and reluctantly undressed out of fear.
After enduring the @ssault, she said she was too scared and embarrassed to report it — especially given her public image.
She told the court that one of the men warned her he had “access to classified information” and could track her down if she spoke out.
“He scared me,” she said, “and I didn’t want to be embarrassed, especially as a public figure.”
Mai Jeremaya waived her legal right to anonymity when she publicly spoke about the matter in a social media video — a rare move that has stirred debate online.
Now suffering from anxiety, sleepless nights, and strained relationships, she says the ordeal has destroyed her eight-year cohabitation with her partner, with whom she shares three children.
According to H Metro, a dramatic twist, the accused men deny all allegations.
Their version of events paints a very different picture. They claim that Mai Jeremaya initiated the meeting by texting Charlie and later proposed consensual s£x for US$20 after complimenting his car and phone.
According to their testimony, she agreed to engage in sexual activity at a lodge and was even the one who undressed, helped with the c0nd0m, and actively participated.
But things allegedly turned sour when, after the act, she demanded US$500, later reducing it to US$300, citing “extras” like kissing and f0replay.
When the accused refused to pay, they claim she attempted extortion with the help of a controversial private investigator, Tafadzwa Chidawa, who allegedly kidnapped them and their parents while demanding payment.
The State, represented by Cecilia Mashingaidze, disputes this version and maintains that the act was rape, not transactional.
