Love triangle turns deadly, 22-year-old Bindura woman convicted of assaulting pregnant rival

BINDURA- A 22-year-old Bindura woman has been convicted and jailed for violently assaulting her boyfriend’s pregnant wife, her alleged romantic rival, in an infidelity-related jealous rage which led to a tragic miscarriage.

Kudzanai Waenderwa appeared before the Bindura Magistrates Court on assault charges.

According to State allegations, on September 9, 2024 around 2300hours at Homelink, Bindura, Waenderwa arrived at the 29-year-old complainant’s residence, claiming to be the girlfriend of the complainant’s husband.

The accused proceeded to the complainant’s bedroom and demanded to spend the night, prompting an argument.

However, the complainant ordered the accused to leave her residence but the accused refused.

Consequently, the accused allegedly assaulted the complainant multiple times with open hands and fists.

Fearing for her safety, the complainant fled the scene.

Unfortunately, due to injuries sustained during the alleged assault by the accused, the complainant suffered a miscarriage.
