Love conquers distance, Chinese man cycles 4,400km to reunite with wife

In a remarkable tale of love and perseverance, a 40-year-old man from Jiangsu, China, has completed a 100-day, 4,400-kilometer cycling journey from eastern China to the southwest, driven by his determination to reconcile with his wife after two years of separation.
Zhou, a native of Lianyungang, Jiangsu province first met his wife Li in Shanghai where their love story began.
The couple tied the knot in 2007 but their happiness was short-lived. They divorced in 2013, seemingly ending their journey together.
Zhou shared his thoughts on their past. “We were too stubborn and made rash decisions, breaking up and getting back together multiple times.”
He added that despite their ups and downs, they stayed in touch and held onto hope for a fresh start.
Li also revealed the playful spark that ignited Zhou’s 4,400km cycling journey to reunite with her.
“l jokingly told him to ride his bike to Lhasa if he wanted to reunite, but I never thought he would actually do it,” she said.
However, fate had other plans. Zhou took Li’s words to heart and completed the remarkable cycling journey.
The couple surprisingly reunited, took a second chance on each other, remarried and blessed with two precious children – a boy and a girl.
