Limpopo Woman Arrested in Midrand for Fatal Stabbing of Boyfriend – A 22-year-old woman originally from Kremetart in Giyani, Limpopo, has been arrested in Midrand for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death in the early hours of Monday, 22 September 2025.
The deceased, identified as 31-year-old Mr Xichavo Ntsanwisi, hailed from Mhinga village near Malamulele and was employed by the Greater Giyani Municipality.
He was found unresponsive at a residential complex in Colnbrook Estate, Noordwyk, Midrand.
According to initial reports, Ntsanwisi’s lifeless body was discovered lying on the kitchen floor with a stab wound to his upper chest, close to the neck.
A kitchen knife with a yellow handle was found next to his body.

The suspect, Miss Jo-Ann Ntokoto Mabasa, was reportedly found at the scene and admitted to the stabbing during preliminary questioning.
Emergency services from Netcare Ambulance responded to the scene and declared Ntsanwisi dead upon arrival.
Police have since taken Mabasa into custody, and she is expected to appear in court soon as investigations continue.
