“Ladies, God Doesn’t Give You A Husband” – Shadaya

BY LAVENDER CHABATA
Tawona Shadaya Knight, a well-known Zimbabwean social media figure and self-proclaimed anti-feminist, has attracted attention with his provocative opinions about marriage and women, stirring up discussions online.
In a a recent post on his X page, he stated, “Ladies, God doesn’t give you a husband, neither does He give men wives. As a woman, you not having a husband has nothing to do with God. But everything to do with YOU.”
Shadaya argued that many women, especially those aged 18 to 23, often have potential suitors but may overlook them. He claimed, “For every woman out there praying for a husband, she had a couple of suitors that wanted to marry her. But rejected them to naivety of youth and indoctrination of feminism.”
According to him, this leads to confusion between men who are genuinely interested and those who are not serious. He criticized the feminist perspective, saying, “All the time ignoring biology, but it eventually catches up with them.”
To attract a husband, Shadaya offered advice for women: “Be FEMININE – purity, respect, submission, peaceful, be content.” He concluded with a strong message, urging women to “Learn OR perish!”
His post has sparked a mix of reactions, with some agreeing and others disagreeing with his views.

Musatamba nemweya yemadzinza imi. These things are spiritual that’s why marriage is celebrated. A life partner comes from God, comes from having faith and praying without ceasing. You can have all the feminine energy, be so submissive and pure and end up alone.Â
