Khama Billiat in Trouble Over R3.5 Million Range Rover Dispute

Khama Billiat in Trouble Over R3.5 Million Range Rover Dispute – Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat is facing serious legal challenges after Standard Bank accused him of defaulting on payments for a luxury Range Rover worth R3.5 million.
According to documents obtained from South Africa, the bank claims Billiat entered into a credit agreement in 2019, under which he would pay monthly instalments of R37,000 over 71 months.
The vehicle was to remain the property of the bank until the loan was fully settled.
Standard Bank is now seeking the return of the vehicle, alleging that Billiat has not been making payments as agreed and cannot be located.
The bank has escalated the matter through legal channels and is actively pursuing the recovery of the asset.

In addition to the Range Rover issue, Billiat is also reportedly facing another debt with the same bank from a separate overdraft facility taken out in 2020.
He is said to owe over R370,000, with his last payment made in 2023. The repayment plan had required him to pay between R80,000 and R90,000 monthly, but the bank alleges he fell behind on these obligations.
Efforts to serve court papers through the Johannesburg High Court have so far been unsuccessful, as Billiat is no longer believed to be residing in South Africa.
Currently, Khama Billiat is playing for Scottland FC in Zimbabwe’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
There has been no official comment from the player regarding the allegations.
