Indian Man Comes to Life on His Funeral

... Just Before Funeral Pyre Ignition!

An Indian man unexpectedly came to life on a funeral pyre just before it was about to be set on fire, after a doctor failed to perform a postmortem, medical officials said on Saturday.

Rohitash Kumar, 25, who had trouble hearing and speaking, got sick and was taken to a hospital in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, on Thursday. Reports say he had an epileptic seizure, and a doctor declared him dead when he arrived at the hospital.

Instead of doing the required postmortem to find out how he died, the medical staff sent him to the mortuary and prepared him for cremation according to Hindu customs.

D. Singh, the chief medical officer at the hospital, explained that a doctor wrote a postmortem report without actually doing the examination, which led to the body being sent for cremation.

Just before they were about to light the pyre, Kumar’s body started to move, and it was discovered that he was alive and breathing. He was rushed back to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead again on Friday during treatment.

As a result of this incident, three doctors have been suspended, and the police are investigating.
