Hopewell Chin’ono Leaks Chats, Claims Comfort Dondo’s Political Attacks Stem from Romantic Rejection

Hopewell Chin’ono Leaks Chats, Claims Comfort Dondo’s Political Att@cks Stem from Romantic Rejection– Zimbabwean journalist and activist Hopewell Chin’ono has sparked controversy after accusing political figure Comfort Dondo of using Zimbabwean politics to mask what he claims is a personal grudge stemming from unreciprocated feelings.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Chin’ono alleged that Dondo had launched baseless @ttacks against him and fellow activist @mamakaCleo—whom he clarified is “not his girlfriend” but a comrade in the struggle for political change.

In his fiery posts, he went further to claim that Dondo’s motives were not about politics but a response to his refusal to engage with her personally.

“You came to my house—I have 32 cameras. If you don’t stop, I’ll release the videos to prove this is about rejection, not politics!” Chin’ono warned, suggesting that he has recorded evidence to back his claims.

The feud escalated as Chin’ono accused Dondo of working with certain individuals to undermine his activism.

He threatened to escalate the matter legally, stating that he would involve the Minneapolis police if the alleged attacks persisted.

“You asked to see me, then turned bitter when I said no. Heal!” he declared, portraying the conflict as a mix of political intrigue and personal grievances.

With the online drama unfolding, Zimbabweans remain divided over Chin’ono’s claims, with some questioning his approach while others back his stance against what he calls politically motivated personal att@cks.
