Harare man beaten by wife over $7 allowance   – A Harare polygamous man, Tafadzwa Madzima, has been granted a protection order against his second wife, Pamela Nyama, after she allegedly @ss@ulted him for giving her only US$7 to cover household expenses for the month.

The matter was heard at the Harare Civil Court, where Madzima explained that he had prioritized his first wife financially, leaving him with just US$7, which he then gave to Nyama.

According to his testimony, the incident occurred last Tuesday when Nyama requested money for groceries, as reported by Kwayedza.

After receiving US$7, she became furious, insulting him and accusing him of neglecting his responsibilities.

Madzima claimed she not only berated him but also insulted his mother before physically attacking him.

“I tried to explain, but she wouldn’t listen. She keeps threatening to leave me if I don’t give her more money,” he told the court. “I’m now struggling to focus at work and at home because of her constant demands.”

When given a chance to respond, Nyama admitted to assaulting him, saying, “I beat him because he only gives money to his first wife.”

After hearing both sides, Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted Madzima a protection order and instructed Nyama to stay away from his workplace.
