Grade 7 Pupil Expelled from Robert Tredgold School for Calling Teacher Lesbian – Robert Tredgold School in the Bulawayo Central District has taken decisive disciplinary action against a Grade 7 pupil, Junior Bandile Ndlovu, following a string of serious misconduct incidents that disrupted the learning environment.

According to official communication from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Bulawayo Metropolitan Province, Junior Bandile Ndlovu, born on 30 April 2012, is to be excluded from the school with effect from 13 May 2025.

The expulsion follows several alarming behavioural breaches that raised concerns about safety and discipline at the school.

The record shows that on 27 March 2025, Ndlovu used vulgar and offensive language towards his class teacher, Mrs Helen Nemasiyanwa, calling her “a dog” and “a lesbian.”

A day earlier, on 26 March, he hurled similar @buse at a fellow Grade 7B Blue pupil, Antony Moyo, making derogatory remarks about Antony’s parents, claiming they were “prostitutes” who “drink tea inside a condom.”

Prior to these incidents, on 19 February 2025, Ndlovu physically assaulted another pupil, Perfect Manavere, punching him in the eye and mouth, which resulted in a visibly swollen face.

During a disciplinary engagement on 27 February, he further shocked staff by responding to senior teacher Mr Kudakwashe Kisimusi with threats, stating that he wanted to “deal with people who have big testicles” and vowed to “mark an X on the teacher’s buttocks.”

Citing the need to restore order and maintain a conducive learning environment, the school’s administration, in consultation with educational authorities, resolved that exclusion was the most appropriate course of action.

“All communications should be addressed to The Provincial Education Director,” the memo emphasized, signaling that the case has been escalated through formal Ministry channels.

The Ministry has since notified all Provincial Education Directors across the country, marking the incident as a serious disciplinary precedent.
