Imagine waking up to mealie-meal and sugar dumped on the floor, or finding your cooking pot mysteriously empty when it’s time to eat. As you try to figure out what’s happening, bricks smash into windows, and stones rain down—without any sign of who’s behind it. Goblins Rain Stones Non-stop
This terrifying ordeal has hit three families in St-Peters, near Bulawayo’s Old Pumula. Two families already fled, blaming goblins for the relentless attacks.
B-Metro visited on Wednesday and found Xolani Mlalazi’s home abandoned. Stones scattered the yard, doors locked, and bedroom windows shattered. Mlalazi’s relative, Lister Tshuma, shared her frightening experience.
“Last Thursday, while we ate supper, our tenants burst into the house, shouting that something was stoning them. They said a door flew open after a hit, and stones poured into the living room,” Tshuma said.
The family tried praying with neighbors to drive out the evil forces, but the attacks continued. “They prayed but ran for their lives when more stones came flying at them. One tenant slept here, the other at a neighbor’s house,” Tshuma added.

Many left the home, staying with neighbors. “Two tenants moved out, and the rest of us are staying with others,” said Siphathisiwe Moyo. “The invisible force dumps our sugar and mealie-meal on the floor and even eats our meat. We’re terrified.”
At another house, a woman named NaMolly described her horror. She wakes up without underwear, though she doesn’t think she’s been assaulted. “For three days now, I’ve woken up to find my underwear on the floor. I’m scared this thing will end up sleeping with me.”
Phindani Moyo’s house also stands empty, doors locked. Local chairperson Reginald Mkhosana confirmed the attacks and called for a community meeting to find a solution. “We don’t want witch hunters. We need a pastor or prophet to cleanse the area and unite the community.”
