Glenview Furniture Dealer Loses US$18,000 to Girlfriend

Glenview Furniture Dealer Loses US$18,000 to Girlfriend – A furniture dealer from Glen View 8, identified only as Crispen, is reportedly counting heavy losses after allegedly losing more than US$18,000 to a woman he had entrusted with keeping his money.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the married businessman, who has three children, would regularly hand over cash generated from his furniture business to the woman for safekeeping instead of keeping it at home or depositing it into a bank account.

Sources further allege that Crispen had developed a high level of trust in the woman and would occasionally visit her residence in Glen Norah to inspect and count the money. The arrangement reportedly continued without problems for a considerable period.

However, complications allegedly arose after Crispen informed the woman that he intended to collect the funds so he could purchase a residential stand and a vehicle.

When he later attempted to retrieve the money, the woman had reportedly disappeared. Reports indicate that she is suspected to have fled to South Africa with the entire US$18,000.
