Ghanaian Man Who Stole Armoured Vehicle Begs Court to Join Police

Ghanaian Man Who Stole Armoured Vehicle Begs Court to Join Police – A Ghanaian man, identified as Ebenezer Frimpong, has stunned a court after pleading to be recruited into the police service—just days after stealing a police armoured vehicle.
Frimpong was arrested after reportedly driving off with the vehicle when its driver briefly stepped away.
During his court appearance, the suspect went down on his knees, begging the judge for assistance in fulfilling his ambition of joining the Ghana Police Service.
“I made a mistake, but my dream is to serve in the police,” he reportedly told the court.

Authorities say the incident occurred when the officer in charge of the armoured vehicle exited momentarily, giving the suspect an opportunity to unlawfully take control. Security agencies later tracked the vehicle and arrested Frimpong without incident.
Police have since condemned the act, describing it as a serious breach of security. “This is a grave offence, and the law will take its course,” a police spokesperson said.
