Ghanaian Lawyer Dies While Celebrating Black Stars Victory Over Panama – A 26-year-old Ghanaian lawyer, Sara Araba Tettey, has reportedly died after suffering a cardiac arrest while celebrating Ghana’s victory over Panama during the FIFA World Cup.
According to reports from Ghana, Tettey collapsed while watching the match with friends at a private hostel in Bomso, near the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The young legal practitioner had reportedly been celebrating Ghana’s late winning goal when she suddenly suffered a medical emergency.
Friends rushed her to KNUST Hospital, where medical personnel administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for approximately 45 minutes in an effort to save her life. However, she was later pronounced dead.

Tettey, an alumna of the KNUST Faculty of Law, was called to the Ghana Bar in October 2025 and had recently begun her legal career.
Moments before her death, she shared what has now become her final message on X, expressing excitement over Ghana’s winning goal.
“GOALLLLL!!!! F**k I love these boys,” she wrote.
Her sudden passing has left family members, friends and colleagues in shock.
Reports indicate that her body has since been transferred to the KNUST Medical School mortuary for preservation and further examination.
