The two were inseparable, united by years of friendship and mutual involvement in wellness and community work.
Former Norton legislator and wellness advocate Temba P. Mliswa, who knew both men personally, shared the somber update on X.
“It never rains but pours. This is Naison Masaka, a friend of the late Mugo. Sadly, he had a stroke after hearing about Mugo’s death. I went to school with him and also worked with him in my wellness programs. It’s another painful experience,” Mliswa posted.
Masaka had been admitted to Parirenyatwa Hospital in critical condition, with Mliswa urging the public to support his family during the difficult time. Sadly, despite efforts to save him, Masaka succumbed to complications from the stroke.
His passing has deepened the sorrow already felt by many over Mugo’s untimely death. For those who knew them, the loss of both men within such a short span is an emotional blow.
“This is another testament to the kind of person Mugo was—his death had a profound emotional impact on Naison,” Mliswa reflected.
