Four Killed in Head-On Collision Near Mvuma – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed a fatal road traffic accident that claimed four lives along the Harare–Masvingo Road near Mvuma.

According to the police, the accident occurred on January 14, 2026, at around 2:20pm at the 173-kilometre peg.

A Nissan AD van carrying one passenger and travelling towards Masvingo collided head-on with a BMW vehicle heading towards Harare, which was also carrying one passenger.

Four people, including both drivers, died as a result of the crash.

One victim died at the scene, while the remaining three succumbed to their injuries after being admitted to Mvuma District Hospital.

Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are ongoing.
