DRC Introduces $50 Visa Requirement for Zimbabwean Travelers

DRC Introduces $50 Visa Requirement for Zimbabwean Travelers – Zimbabwean citizens will now need a visa to enter the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), following a recent policy change announced by the DRC government.
The new regulation, which takes immediate effect, ends the previous visa-free arrangement that Zimbabweans once enjoyed.
Under the revised travel requirements, Zimbabwean travelers can still obtain a tourist visa on arrival at key entry points, including major airports and border posts. The visa will cost $50.

Authorities in the DRC say the move is part of a broader effort to streamline and modernize the country’s visa processing system for international visitors. While it marks a shift from the long-standing visa-free travel between the two nations, officials hope the on-arrival option will ease the transition for travelers.
This development comes as the DRC continues to adjust its immigration policies in line with regional and global trends.
