Drama Explodes as Wife’s Lover Phones Husband to Confess Affair and Reveal US$40K Stand Scam

A Damafalls man was left stunned after receiving a call from his wife’s lover, who calmly confessed to having an affair with her before accusing her of involvement in a US$40,000 real estate scam.
Police say the dramatic phone call came from Rosati Herman Imran, 47, who told Simbarashe Sanyanga, 45, that he had been romantically involved with his wife, Edelyn Sanyanga, 46.
According to investigators, Rosati said he could no longer keep the secret and felt compelled to inform the husband himself.
Simbarashe told authorities he initially thought the call was a prank until Rosati went further, claiming Edelyn had secretly sold their Damafalls residential stand without his knowledge.

Rosati alleged that Edelyn pocketed US$10,000 as part of a US$40,000 transaction with buyer Keith Tafadzwa Katewera.
“He said she sold the stand behind my back and had already received money from the buyer,” Simbarashe reportedly told officers.
Shocked by the revelations, and having recently returned to the country, Simbarashe visited the Damafalls authorities to verify the claims.
Officials there confirmed the property had indeed been sold.
After realising Rosati had disclosed both the affair and the alleged fraudulent sale, Edelyn is said to have vanished and has not been located since.
Harare police spokesperson Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the investigation, saying:
“Police are investigating a fraud case involving a woman and her husband, with a total value of US$40,000. The accused person is yet to be arrested.”
Police say efforts to locate Edelyn are ongoing.
