Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs narrowly escaped a violent attack inside MDC Brooklyn, where he is serving a 50-month federal sentence.
The incident occurred late at night when an inmate allegedly held a knife to Diddy’s throat while he slept, prompting serious concerns about his safety in custody.
The chilling encounter was confirmed by Diddy’s close friend Charlucci Finney, who told Daily Mail,
“He woke up with a knife to his throat. I don’t know whether he fought him off or the guards came, I just know that it happened.”
Finney described the moment as terrifying and said the attack appeared to be a calculated act of intimidation.
During Diddy’s sentencing, his lawyer Brian Steel also referenced the incident, stating that a prison guard intervened just in time to prevent serious harm.
Sources familiar with the situation told TMZ the attack was not random but targeted.
Finney believes the motive was to instill fear, adding, “If this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed. It would only take a second.”
