D£ath at a Funeral: Mourners K¡ll Suspected Thief in Tsholotsho

Four mourners were arrested for the brutal k!lling of a suspected burglar during a solemn gathering to mourn the d€ad.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the incident, which occurred on June 13, 2025, in Bhule Village.

According to police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the deceased, 45-year-old Somiso Ndlovu, was allegedly caught attempting to break into a neighbouring house while mourners were gathered for a funeral nearby.

The suspects — Musa Donga (45), Nkosilathi Nkomo (56), Benjamin Moyo (51), and Calbert Nkomo (45) — reportedly took justice into their own hands and fatally assaulted Ndlovu.

“Police in Tsholotsho arrested the four suspects in connection with the murd€r of Somiso Ndlovu,” said Commissioner Nyathi.

“The group, who were attending a funeral, allegedly beat the victim after discovering him in the act of burglary.”

Authorities have since warned members of the public against taking the law into their own hands, reminding citizens that suspected criminals must be reported and handled through lawful processes.
