Coach Rambo Joins Search for Fisherman Who Drowned in Henry Hallam Dam –  Efforts to recover the body of a 22-year-old fisherman who drowned in Henry Hallam (Hunyani) Dam in Hatfield, Harare, are continuing, with renowned swimming instructor and life-saver Victor Kazembe, popularly known as Coach Rambo, leading the search operation.

The fisherman is reported to have drowned early on Sunday morning while laying fishing nets in the dam. According to reports, the floating tube he was using burst, causing him to disappear beneath the water.

Speaking after Sunday’s search efforts, Coach Rambo said operations would continue as teams intensify efforts to locate and retrieve the victim’s body.

Coach Rambo has become widely known for his bravery and rescue skills. He gained national attention after risking his life to retrieve three bodies from a muddy sewage pool in Budiriro 3, Harare. He had initially been called to recover one missing person but ended up retrieving three bodies during the operation.

The ongoing search at Henry Hallam Dam has drawn concern from the local community, with family members and residents hoping the victim’s body will soon be recovered.

Search operations resumed on Monday as rescuers continue combing the waters of the Hatfield dam. Authorities are yet to release further details regarding the drowning incident.
