Chiredzi domestic worker found decomposing

CHIREDZI – A suspected murder of a domestic worker from Vilael in Runhare was found rotting inside a locked house in Westwood, Chiredzi.
The deceased, Jabson Bunukwa Kwangwari (35) was discovered decomposing in his employer’s residence, Christopher Nyathi (75). The circumstances of his death are still unclear, prompting a police investigation.
Masvingo Police Spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the case to AfroGazette News and appealed for information that might lead to the arrest of the suspects.
“We appeal to the public to assist us with information regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of a 35-year-old man, whose decomposing body was found with a large wound on the head and hand, trousers pulled down, and belongings scattered throughout the house,” said Inspector Dhewa.
Sources said that on October 11, around 8am, the house owner noticed a large number of flies congregating around the door of the outbuilding where the deceased resided. As he drew nearer, he was greeted by an unpleasant odor emanating from the house.
He alerted his neighbors and they peered through the window, seeing the deceased’s body lying on the bed.
A police report was filed and the body was transported to Chiredzi General Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
