Chinhoyi Man Killed Over 50 Cents Change Dispute

CHINHOYI – Police in Chinhoyi have arrested Moreblessing Sekerani (26) in connection with the murder of Jimson Makiwa (28) at Witchwood Farm Compound on April 15, 2025.

The suspect allegedly stabbed Makiwa in the chest with an okapi knife following a dispute over 50 cents change from a grocery purchase.

In a statement shared on Twitter, the Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the arrest, stating that investigations were underway.

The tragic incident has left the community in shock, with authorities urging residents to resolve disputes peacefully.

The suspect is expected to appear in court as investigations continue.
