The twins, a boy and a girl, were delivered via caesarean section at Xi’an People’s Hospital. The hospital described this as a “one in a million” event, as it is extremely rare for twins to be conceived and carried to term in separate uteruses.
Li’s story has captivated Chinese social media, with many expressing awe and concern for her well-being.
