Chillspot Records producer Tafadzwa “DJ Ribhe” Mandaza has been acquitted of rape charges following a full trial.
Mandaza had been accused of raping a 14-year-old girl on October 18, 2024. According to court records, the minor had gone missing from school on October 16, 2024, and was later found in Highfields after a missing person report was filed.
The prosecution alleged that Mandaza had persuaded the complainant to drink an unknown substance and smoke shisha at Mashwede Village, before taking her to his residence where the alleged rape occurred.

Mandaza’s lawyers, Dumisani Mtombeni and Stanley Matandadzi, maintained that their client was innocent of the charges.
In a previous statement, Mandaza denied having any sexual relations with the teenager, claiming that she had been with other people at the time of the alleged incident.
With the acquittal, Mandaza is now a free man, cleared of all charges related to the alleged rape.
