Chillmaster Bows Out of Germany Gig Amid Legal Storm — Nisha Ts Steps In

Rising star Chillmaster has abruptly pulled out of the prestigious MOTO MOTO Festival set for July 19 in Cologne, Germany with Zimdancehall artist Nisha Ts now stepping in to fly the Zimbabwean flag.

Chillmaster had earned his spot on the international stage after clinching the NAMA Outstanding Breakthrough Musician award.

But according to a statement from the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ), “unforeseen circumstances” forced him to cancel the trip.

“After full consultations with Chillmaster and his management… Nisha Ts, the 2nd place honoree, has been selected to take up the opportunity,” the council said, adding that NAMA remains committed to showcasing local talent on the world stage.

This comes as Chillmaster known for his hit Horror continues to face backlash over a controversial court ruling.

He was recently spared jail after being convicted of culpable homicide and fined just US$200 for driving without a licence.

The case is now under review at the High Court, with Judge President Zimba-Dube expected to assess whether “real and substantial justice” was delivered.

When NewZimbabwe.com reached out to Chillmaster’s manager, Admire “Mama Vee” Mushambi, to clarify whether the festival withdrawal was linked to the ongoing legal drama, he declined to comment.
