Chaos at Maglas Stadium as Match Abandoned — Violence erupted at Maglas Stadium on Sunday during a Central Region Soccer League match between Shabani Mine and Gwada Pirates, forcing the game to be abandoned under chaotic scenes.
The disruption reportedly stemmed from a contentious penalty awarded to Shabani Mine during the 68th minute, which triggered an angry reaction from fans of both sides.
Tensions quickly escalated, resulting in a physical altercation in the stands, forcing officials to abandon play as vehicles belonging to players and officials were vandalized.
Tragically, one supporter was reportedly stabbed near the heart during the clashes and was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Police used teargas to disperse the crowds.

Witnesses described the scene as “tense and terrifying,” with fans scattering in panic as security personnel struggled to regain control.
