Cape Town Mother Arrested for Allegedly Selling Teen Daughter for Milk Money

Cape Town Mother Arrested for Allegedly Selling Teen Daughter for Milk Money – A 39-year-old mother from Parkwood, Cape Town, has been arrested for allegedly pr0stituting her 15-year-old daughter to a neighbour in exchange for money to buy milk.
She is expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court alongside a 55-year-old man, who is also facing s£xual @ss@ult charges.
The case, which has sh0cked the community, came to light after the teen reported being raped by a neighbour.
Following her report, the Family Violence, Child Protection and S£xual Offences (FCS) Unit arrested the man, who has since been remanded to Pollsmoor Pr!son.
However, the case took a disturbing turn when the teen’s aunt returned to the police station with her, presenting text message evidence showing the mother was not only aware of the @bus£ but had allegedly orchestrated it.
According to police sources, the messages revealed that the mother sent her daughter to engage in s£xual acts in exchange for money — reportedly to buy basic necessities like milk.
A source close to the investigation said, “The texts clearly showed the mother arranging for her daughter to sleep with the adult male. It’s heartbreaking. She used her own child for financial gain.”

The woman’s arrest in Parkwood left the community stunned, with many commenting on her striking resemblance to Kelly Smith, the mother of missing child Joshlin Smith.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg confirmed the arrest of both suspects and their court appearance scheduled for April 29, 2025.
Caroline Peters from the Callas Foundation condemned the act, calling it “a horrifying betrayal.”
She said, “A mother’s duty is to protect her child. What happened here is a form of trafficking and deep abuse. The child deserves justice and every form of support to heal.”
Peters also noted that many similar cases remain hidden for years, with victims often silenced by guilt or fear.
The Grassy Park Community Police Forum stated they had not yet been informed of the incident and could not comment.
