Bulawayo Shutdown Gig Moved to ZITF Main Arena Following Mayor’s Concerns

BULAWAYO – The highly anticipated Pacific Bulawayo Shutdown, originally scheduled for Queens Sports Club on April 26, will now take place at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Main Arena.

Organisers confirmed the change to avoid disruptions and resolve concerns raised by local authorities and Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC).

Bulawayo Mayor Councillor David Coltart had opposed hosting the event at Queens Sports Club, citing potential interference with preparations for Zimbabwe’s upcoming international test matches against New Zealand and South Africa.

Given the significance of these fixtures, officials feared logistical complications if the concert remained at the venue.

Despite Queens Sports Club’s lease agreement permitting social events alongside cricket activities, Harris Entertainment opted for ZITF Main Arena to ensure a smooth resolution.

According to YouthVillage.co.zw, the new venue offers more space, allowing large crowds to enjoy the concert while ensuring cricket preparations continue undisrupted.

With the venue dispute settled, fans can now look forward to an electrifying experience without further complications.

Harris Entertainment expressed gratitude for the cooperation of all involved and assured attendees that the event will proceed as scheduled, delivering a memorable night in its new setting.
