New Rules Enforce Compliance from Dawn to Dusk

Bulawayo Extends Parking Hours

The City of Bulawayo, in partnership with Tendy Three Investments (TTI) Parking Solutions, extended parking enforcement hours starting Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

Officials will now enforce parking regulations from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily, replacing the previous schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays.

City town clerk Christopher Dube said the extension addresses growing concerns over reckless parking, particularly after 5:00 PM. He noted that violations during these hours have disrupted traffic and endangered drivers and pedestrians.

Dube clarified that the Clamping and Tow-away By-law (Statutory Instrument 220 of 2023) operates 24/7, ensuring constant compliance. He urged the community to respect parking rules at all times, as there are no exceptions or relaxed hours.

The city calls on residents and visitors to follow the new parking rules, avoid penalties, and contribute to a safer and more organized Bulawayo.
