Bulawayo Cop Accused of Detective’s Murd£r Granted Bail

Bulawayo Cop Accused of Detective’s Murder Granted Bail – Bulawayo police officer Nomore Muradzikwa, accused of the fatal shooting of detective Cassandra Hove, has been granted bail after spending weeks in custody.
Muradzikwa, 37, was initially remanded in custody following his first court appearance but later successfully applied for bail at the High Court.
Muradzikwa was arrested last month in connection with the March 6 shooting of Hove, a mother of four and a detective with an elite all-women CID unit known as Lozikeyi.

He was part of a police operation tracking down suspected armed robber Fikile Ncube, 26, in Pumula South when the fatal incident occurred.
According to the prosecution, led by Nkanyezi Xaba, Muradzikwa fired his CZ pistol at Ncube, hitting him on the left elbow.
The bullet then ricocheted and struck Hove in the chest, killing her instantly.
Following his court appearance before Bulawayo magistrate Maxwell Ncube, Muradzikwa was advised to seek bail at the High Court, which has now ruled in his favor.
He is represented by lawyer Tinashe Tashaya.
Hove’s family, who have expressed frustration over the handling of the case, attended the proceedings.
Abias Hove, her brother, criticized the police for failing to inform them of the suspect’s court appearance, saying they had to learn about it through the media.
The case has sparked controversy, with questions still lingering about the circumstances surrounding Hove’s d€ath and why it took two weeks to bring Muradzikwa to court.
Meanwhile, Fikile Ncube, the alleged robbery suspect who was also shot, has since been transferred to Khami Prison after receiving medical treatment at Mpilo Central Hospital.
