British-Nigerian Businessman Dies after Penis Enlargement Procedure in Thailand

British-Nigerian Businessman Dies after Penis Enlargement Procedure in Thailand – A British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer, Igho Ubiribo, 43, has died after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure while on holiday in Thailand with his wife.

Ubiribo reportedly underwent the cosmetic procedure at an unnamed clinic in Bangkok in March, where he was injected with about 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine.

Shortly after the procedure, he went for a massage with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, but began complaining of chest pain before collapsing twice.

He was rushed by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was initially conscious and able to respond to questions. His wife reportedly informed medical staff that he had recently undergone the penile filler procedure.

Doctors planned to conduct a CT scan, but Ubiribo lost consciousness before the examination could take place.

He was subsequently diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism, a potentially fatal condition that occurs when a blood vessel supplying the lungs becomes blocked.

Ubiribo was transferred to intensive care, where medical staff reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes in an attempt to save his life. However, he died in the early hours of March 6.

A postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom later found material in Ubiribo’s lungs that was consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.

Pathologist John du Parcq told an inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court that cellular material found in Ubiribo’s lungs matched the hyaluronic acid used in the penile filler injection and was consistent with a pulmonary embolism.

The findings were also reportedly consistent with an autopsy carried out in Thailand.

Ubiribo, who had around 185,000 followers on Instagram, was known for showcasing his luxurious lifestyle on social media.

His death has renewed attention on the potential risks associated with penile filler procedures, which have previously been criticised by medical professionals over possible complications.
