BREAKING NEWS: SA Government Confirms Zimbabwean Bus Involved in ARV Smuggling Scandal – The South African government has confirmed that the Louis Trichardt bus which crashed recently was being used to traffic antiretroviral (ARV) drugs allegedly stolen from public health facilities by undocumented Zimbabwean nationals.

This follows investigations that were launched into possible pharmaceutical smuggling after ARVs and other prescription medicines were found in the wreckage of the bus that overturned on Sunday, killing 43 people.

According to officials, the discovery has exposed a growing black market for essential medication, with syndicates believed to be operating between South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Authorities have since pledged to intensify border surveillance and crack down on those involved in the illegal trade.

Both South African and Zimbabwean authorities are now working together to trace the origins of the stolen medicines and identify all individuals linked to the smuggling ring.
