Bindura Man On The Run After Axe Attack On Wife

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has appealed for public assistance to locate 48-year-old Fobs Berejena, who allegedly struck his wife on the head with an axe during a domestic dispute on 11 July 2025 at Matanda Village, Musana near Bindura.

The victim remains hospitalized at a local facility, and authorities are urging anyone with information to report to the nearest police station.

Meanwhile, police in Gokwe North have arrested 25-year-old Lloyd Makanje following the fatal stabbing of 42-year-old Shingirirai Shava at Mutukani Business Centre in Chireya.

The two reportedly argued before Makanje allegedly stabbed Shava in the neck with an okapi knife.

The victim died on the scene.

ZRP confirmed the arrest and said investigations are ongoing.

In Filabusi, police are investigating the murder of 34-year-old Luckson Mangizi, whose body was discovered with multiple stab wounds in a bush near Macoomber 14 Mine.

Officers have named 20-year-old Martin Ncube of Magaya Village in Nkayi as the prime suspect and launched a manhunt.

In a statement on their official account, ZRP urged the public to provide any information regarding Ncube’s whereabouts.
