Babongile Sikhonjwa Granted State-Assisted Funeral – President Emmerson Mnangagwa has granted a state-assisted funeral for the late entertainer Babongile Sikhonjwa, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 49.
The announcement was made by Bulawayo Provincial Minister Judith Ncube, who confirmed that the government had provided US$10,000 to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Sikhonjwa, remembered as a multi-talented entertainer who excelled as an MC, comedian, cultural activist, singer and DJ, received an outpouring of tributes from across the nation.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday at the Amphitheatre in Bulawayo, followed by burial at Mlowezi in Gwanda District on Saturday.
Qhubani Moyo, Sikhonjwa’s former employer at Skyz Metro FM, has been designated as the contact person for those wishing to make contributions to the family.
