Axel Tuanzebe Sues Manchester United Over Alleged Wrong Medical Advice

Axel Tuanzebe Sues Manchester United Over Alleged Wrong Medical Advice – Former Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe has taken legal action against the club, filing a clinical negligence lawsuit over claims of improper medical treatment that allegedly hindered his professional career.
According to Sky Sports, the 27-year-old lodged the case on July 9, accusing United of mishandling his injuries during his time at Old Trafford.
The lawsuit brings fresh attention to how elite football clubs manage long-term player health and injury recovery.
Tuanzebe’s injury woes began in 2019 with a hip issue sustained during warm-up ahead of a high-profile match against Liverpool.
That same year, he suffered another setback during a Carabao Cup fixture against Colchester United, which forced him out for the rest of the season.
The following seasons were marked by further disruptions.
A foot injury at the start of a new campaign kept him sidelined for months, and he did not return to full training until January 2023.
Shortly afterward, he was loaned to Stoke City in a bid to regain fitness and game time.

Despite these persistent challenges, Tuanzebe managed to reignite his career.
He became an influential figure at Ipswich Town, helping the club earn promotion to the Premier League with over 40 appearances in the 2023/24 season.
He declined a contract extension with Ipswich and joined Burnley on a free transfer in June 2025.
Tuanzebe, who now represents the DR Congo national team, came through Manchester United’s academy system and made 37 senior appearances before departing the club in 2022 upon the expiration of his contract.
