Arrest Warrant Issued for Robert Mugabe Junior

An arrest warrant has been issued for Robert Mugabe Junior, the son of the late former president Robert Gabriel Mugabe.

He failed to attend his trial regarding charges of possessing illegal drugs.

The 33-year-old Robert Junior was first arrested on October 1 and charged with unlawfully having dangerous drugs. He was released on a bail of $300.

Magistrate Lisa Mutendereki issued the warrant after court officials called his name three times without a response.

According to NewsDay, three witnesses who were present to testify will have to wait until Robert Junior is found before they can give their accounts.

Robert Junior was arrested while driving a Honda Fit on Sam Nujoma Street at around 8:30 AM.

During a police search of his vehicle, officers found two sachets of marijuana, Rizla rolling papers, and a marijuana grinder. The drugs weighed two grams and were valued at about $30.
