Another bus accident claims two lives

Two people died while 14 others were seriously injured early this morning in the Masenyane area along the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls highway.

Officer commanding Lupane District, Chief Inspector Laxmore Dube, confirmed that the accident occurred early today when a Stallion Cruise bus rammed into the haulage which was transporting coal.

He added that the bodies of the deceased were retrieved from the wreckage, while the injured persons were rushed to the nearby St Luke’s Hospital in Lupane.

Meanwhile, as investigations into the cause of the accident continue, the police urged members of the public to exercise extreme caution along the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls highway due to the high traffic of uncontrolled livestock.
