91-Year-Old Steals the Show in School Uniform at Madzibaba Moses’ Birthday Bash

A 91-year-old woman stunned guests and stole the spotlight after arriving in a school uniform at the birthday celebrations of religious leader Madzibaba Moses Gwasarira at the Zimbabwe Grounds in Highfield on Sunday.

Gogo Violet Meki became the surprise star of the event when she confidently walked to the top table, called out to the director of ceremonies and asked to personally present her birthday gift to the celebrated cleric.

With a sparkle in her eye, the elderly woman handed Madzibaba Moses a modest but symbolic US$10 gift, whispering congratulatory words into his ear as onlookers burst into applause.

In a touching gesture of humility, Madzibaba Moses knelt beside her and offered words of thanks.

The unique school-uniform theme was embraced by many guests, adding colour and excitement to the gathering, which drew various prominent figures from across the religious and social spectrum.

H-Metro reports that, Prophet Tapiwa Freddy of Goodness and Mercy Ministries praised Madzibaba Moses for his role in uniting different church denominations and promoting national healing.

“He exemplifies true leadership focused on peace, unity and development,” he said.

Several church leaders echoed the same sentiments, pledging continued collaboration with government programmes aimed at improving the lives of ordinary citizens.

Visibly moved by the show of support, Madzibaba Moses thanked his followers and well-wishers.

“I am genuinely humbled by the presence of everyone here, including those who could not attend. Your support has truly made my day,” he said.

The celebrations were rounded off with performances from various artists, turning the milestone birthday into a full-day spectacle of worship, music and celebration.
